Unicorn College students' excursion at Czech Microsoft

The success of the last year's event for students, the Alza Day, made us prepare a close look at another corporation for Unicorn College students, this time the Czech branch of a global giant.
On 15th February 2019, twenty Unicorn College students visited the Czech branch of one of the world's largest innovation leaders, Microsoft. Microsoft Day offered the visitors a tour of its premises and presentations by its employees.
Martin Hasinec, an HR manager, introduced the corporate culture. The participants learned what it's like to work in Microsoft, what the company expects from their employees or how employees participated on designing the current internal premises. Tomáš Kopáček, the Marketing Communication Support, explained Microsoft solutions for B2C and B2B marketing.
Big thanks go to Karel Klatovský (the Teacher Engagement Manager) who accompanied us the whole day, as well as the Unicorn College management, who support these events. We're already preparing another excursion to a tech company. There's a lot to look forward to.

The Microsoft Day from a participant's perspective

„Microsoft Day is a great event. We got a closer look at a huge corporation. We learned about the corporate culture and how B2C marketing is done. From my point of view, the excursion was really beneficial. We visited offices of the future and many of us would like to start working there immediately. Great thanks to Jindra Richter, the organizer, and the presenters from Microsoft.“

„I liked the excursion. We found out about the culture in Microsoft, their reward system, or current labour market trends. We also learned how their product sales changed, what brings them the largest profit nowadays and that some portfolio diversification paid off. The premises were really pleasant and modern with a number of lobbies in various styles so that everyone finds their style. Thanks to Jindra for preparing the event.“
